Springtime on the prairie is beautiful. But it’s also a battleground for the resident grouse. Prairie Chickens, and Sharp-tailed Grouse go at it from March through April…with the males setting up boundary lines vying for the chance to be chosen by a couple females in the mix. It can be a brutal affair with feathers flying and all-out, drag-out fights.
