The last couple days there’s been more Flickers around.  We went from seeing one or two, up to four or five and they are busy little things.  One will go to the main feeder and drum on the metal squirrel baffle.  Others will go to the ground and rummage around for something there.  Notice the mud on this bird’s bill?  They poke a lot at the ground and come up with a little extra now and then.  They love ants, beetles and other bugs which make up a big part of their diet in warmer weather.
