When the Redwing Blackbirds start showing up, you know for sure you’re shifting into spring time.  The marsh is full of displaying males.  They sit on a prominent perch, get all puffed up and belt out a call that only a female blackbird could love.  This seems to work pretty well for them…as there’s no shortage of blackbirds around the marsh these days.
